The Best Brunch on the Lake: Why I Always Come Back to The Abbey Resort
If you’re looking for the ultimate Lake Geneva brunch experience, let me just say, The Abbey Resort’s Sunday Harborside Champagne Brunch is unbeatable. Every time we go, it feels like the perfect way to slow down and savor the weekend. Picture this: you’re sipping mimosas or getting a custom bloody mary from their tableside bloody mary bar cart, listening to live music, and enjoying lake views while working your way through a truly impressive buffet.
Held every Sunday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, the brunch at The Abbey Resort is $52 for adults and $26 for kids ages 4–12. The buffet is overflowing with all your breakfast favorites, plus savory seafood, chef-inspired twists on traditional dishes, and an cold seafood options. I always make a stop at the smoked salmon and shrimp before diving into something warm and comforting.
But the Sunday brunch isn’t the only time you’ll find an incredible buffet at The Abbey Resort. Their holiday brunches are legendary. Whether it’s Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, they go all out with carving stations, specialty entrees, more seafood (yes please), and an over-the-top dessert spread that my family talks about for days afterward. It’s one of our favorite traditions, and we never miss it.
For holidays the kids’ buffet is a total win. My boys always go straight for the chocolate fondue station and dessert table, while I appreciate that there are fun and familiar options just for them like mac and cheese and chicken tenders.
