Grand Geneva Resort and Spa
- 7036 Grand Geneva Way, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
- (262) 248-8811
Features: The Grand Geneva Resort and Spa is one of the best Lake Geneva Wi Resorts for a reason. This luxury resort is actually the old Playboy Club of Lake Geneva. While not located on the lake, the amenities and upscale accommodations make up for the lack of lakeview. The resort is known for its two award winning 18 hole golf courses, onsite ski hill, a luxury spa and wellness center, multiple upscale dining options, outdoor adventures like scooter and ebike rentals, archery facilities, horse stable with trail rides, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and luxury accommodations.
The Abbey Resort
- 269 Fontana Blvd, Fontana-On-Geneva Lake, WI 53125
- 262-275-9000
Features: Located on a beautiful harbor in Fontana, The Abbey Resort has both indoor and outdoor pools (there are separate kid and adult outdoor pools), one of the best spas in lake Geneva, a piano lounge with nightly music, a coffee shop, two restaurants (one with tables on the lake and live music at night, the other more fancy and serves a tasty brunch), and onsite store/gift shop with snack and wine/beer. The grounds are beautiful and just drinking your morning coffee while overlooking the harbor make this stay a 10!
Geneva National Resort and Spa
- 1221 Geneva National Avenue South
- 262.245.7000
Features: The Geneva National Resort is the place to be if you or a loved one enjoys golf! Featuring 54 holes of Legendary Golf designed by the masters, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino, all courses offer meticulously manicured bent grass tees, fairways and greens, as well as five tee boxes offering a great golf experience for every level of player.
The resort also has several great accommodations options. Choose from normal hotel suites, multi bedroom cottages with fireplaces and full kitchens, or King guest rooms. They recently updated their rooms and all I can say is WOW! These fresh, coastal-inspired suites are modern and a perfect place to relax and recharge. Also onsite is a light up mini golf 1 acre area called the Dance Floor (they have music to jam to!), plus firepits, a great spa, and a great steakhouse call the Hunt Club (which has wine tasting and live music events!). While there is no pool onsite, you are able to use the amenitites of their sister hotel, The Ridge Hotel (saltwater indoor pool, huge outdoor pool with bar area, and marina where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards!).
This is also the hotel to stay at to see the Lake Geneva Ice Castles! In the winter they have a ton of events that you can partake in while waiting for your turn to enjoy the onsite ice castles!
The Belfry House
- 3601 WI-67, Delavan, WI 53115
- (262) 394-3900
Features: This newly renovated boutique hotel, restaurant and theater is right down the street from Williams Bay, WI. The rooms are luxurious (many have fireplaces, I recommend the Standard Luxury suite with heated floors, fireplace and separate bedroom!), and the musical event calendar has everything from Aretha Franklin to Christmas shows. There is usually a world class tribute band performance Wed/Friday and Saturday so if you are looking for live music this is a great option.
Maxwell Mansion
- 304 S Wells St, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
- (262) 394-3900
Features: If you are looking for a beautiful unique stay, the historic Maxwell Mansion Hotel is a great choice. The property was the first mansion built in Lake Geneva (in 1855!) by the prominent Chicago surgeon Dr. Phillip Maxwell. (Fun fact- Maxwell street in Chicago is named after the same doctor.)
This adult only hotel is made up of 3 buildings, the main mansion, the stables and the carriage house. While this is a historical building, all of the rooms have been renovated and are luxurious and unique with all the modern tech comforts you need. The main mansion has 28 rooms and oozes old word charm. The Carriage and Stable rooms are more modern, with the Stables being the most luxurious option. This hotel also has a speakeasy, bar, outdoor pool, ballroom with live music at times, and is located within 2 blocks west from all of the downtown Lake Geneva restaurants, bars, public beach, shopping and boat tours.
