Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the beautiful lakeside resort town 90 minutes from Chicago is also home to some great pizza! From buzzy two story wood-fired pizza with a lakeview to classic tavern-style pies, and even gluten free options, there’s a slice for everyone.
Since my family has been in the area since the 1930s I have rounded up the best Lake Geneva pizza places you should know about!
Top Lake Geneva Pizza Places
- Oakfire (wood fired pizzas in downtown Lake Geneva)
- Next Door Pub & Pizzeria (tavern style local favorite)
- Chucks Lakeshore Inn (local Fontana, WI institution serving tavern style pizza)
- Little Bar (Newer addition this has become a top spot in Fontana, Wi for Pizza!)
- Harpoon Willie’s (Williams Bay, Wi bar/restaurant with kitchy local décor and tasty pizza)

OakFire
- Description: Oakfire is a buzzy 2 story wood fired pizza spot in downtown Lake Geneva! With delicious pizza, amazing craft cocktails and a beautiful lakeview this is my top pick. The ambiance here is fun and on a summer day this place can’t be beat. There is nothing better than having a pizza and cocktail on the open air 2nd floor and taking in the stunning lakeview. They do not take reservations but the pizza is worth it. They also have great gluten free options and a mickey mouse shaped pizza for the kids! This is my family’s favorite downtown Lake Geneva restaurant, especially during the off season when there isn’t a wait.
- Pizza Type: They specialize in authentic wood fired Neapolitan pizza, known for its thin crust, airy dough, and fresh toppings.
- Favorite: Try their Margherita pizza, a classic adorned with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. It’s a delightful combination of simplicity and flavor that keeps patrons coming back for more. I also love the mushroom pizza on the gluten free crust and whatever seasonal vodka based cocktail they have created (so pretty!)
- Specials: Half of ANY pizza on our menu PLUS soup or salad for only $13.95 for their lunch special until 3pm M-F. Specials do changes so check the Instagram @oakfirellc to confirm.
Next Door Pub and Pizzeria
- Description: This casual restaurant is a local favorite that has been honored with several awards including best casual bar, best chicken wings (my son agrees!), best pizza and best burger. The restaurant is located a five minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva and you will see everyone here from couples, families, larger groups and single people at the bar. They also have a dog friendly outdoor patio. They also have one of the most extensive gluten free menus around!
- Pizza Type: They serve hearty tavern-style pizza with a thicker crust, generous toppings, and a perfect balance of sauce and cheese. Also try their wings, pasta, burgers….they are delicious!
- Favorite: In addition to all of the normal favorites they offer things like Wisconsin Mac & Cheese Pizza, Cheeseburger Pizza, and the Geneva Meat Monster (cheese/sausage/peperoni/bacon and ham). Our family really enjoys the normal peperoni and I loved the gluten free veggie pizza!
- Specials: Look out for their daily lunch specials like the soup and salad express lunch combo for 8.50 or their daily lunch wrap specials for 9.00. They also feature a monthly creative pizza of the month which is fun to try. Some past options were Pierogi Pizza or Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese Pizza!
Chuck’s Lakeshore Inn
- Description: This casual bar/restaurant is a Fontana, WI institution….everyone knows Chucks! It has great lake views, a bar that gets packed on nights and weekends and delicious food. From burgers to salads, blackened mahi mahi or even pizza’s there is something for everyone. This is located a 15 minutes drive from downtown Lake Geneva but worth it to check out this adorable town around Geneva Lake.
- Pizza Type: While not a “pizzeria” their 12 inch classic thin crust traditional pizzas hit the spot.
- Favorite: The Sausage and Mushroom Pizza stands out, featuring savory sausage, fresh mushrooms, gooey cheese, and zesty tomato sauce. It’s a satisfying combination that’s hard to resist.
- Specials: This local fav doesn’t need any specials to keep the locals (and visitors) coming back. It is a lakeside local pub and offers free popcorn while you wait (self serve!).
Little Bar
- Description: Since 2019 this small space has been known for their delicious pizza, beer, wine and craft cocktails. While they only offer beer, wine, cocktails and pizza, they do it well and the staff and atmosphere keep the locals and visitors coming back! Expect a wait during the summer so come with the mindset you are going to relax and have a drink while you wait! They are open starting at 4pm Wednesday-Sunday.
- Pizza Type: Their specialty is the classic tavern-style pizza.
- Favorite: My family really like the Miss Alissa- olive old, spinach, feta and pepperoni! They also have 10″ gluten free options
- Specials: No daily specials but the outdoor tables by the fireplaces on the patio make this a popular little spot. It is located across from the Abbey Resort so you can walk right to it if you stay there!
Harpoon Willie’s
- Description: Harpoon Willies is a local lakeside favorite in Williams Bay, Wi open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. The restaurant known for its lively atmosphere, fantastic views, and live music on Thursdays from 8:30-11:30pm.
- Pizza Type: Their specialty lies thin crust 12 inch pizzas. Along with the standards, they also have unique combinations like Shrimp Scampi, and premium toppings like artichokes, capers, and portabella mushrooms.
- Favorite: I love the gluten free margarita pizza- it’s a classic for a reason! My son tried the Shrimp Scampi and said it was a really good.
- Specials: They don’t have any specials but I highly suggested coming in on Thursdays for the live music! This casual bar/restaurant is also very family friendly so everyone is welcome.
