Frosty Moose
Located in downtown Williams Bay (a 15 minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva), The Frosty Moose is known for it’s delicious instagramable ice cream sundaes, like “The Unicorn” or “The Narwal”. In addition to normal soft serve, colored flavored soft serve, and regular ice cream, they also have dairy free and gluten free options! Bonus: They also serve great sandwiches including gluten free bread options (they have the gluten free bread delivered daily from a bakery!). The shop is located two blocks from the lake, where there is a playground so grab a treat then head to the lake to burn off some of that energy!
Dip in The Bay
Dip in the Bay is a classic hand scooped ice cream shop right in downtown Williams Bay. A must try is their mini rainbow “Chicago Style” ice cream cone. This is a 5 flavor stacked ice cream cone that layers orange sherbert, pistachio almond, cherry, strawberry and chocolate. They also have cute outdoor seating are so kids can run around and parents can relax!
They are located within walking distance to the famous Lakeshore path, Edgewater park (that has bathrooms and playground right on the lake), Williams Bay Beach and several restaurants including Bay Cooks, Cafe Calamari and Harpoon Willies.
Blue Heaven Ice Cream
This adorable ice cream shop located in Fontana has over 24 flavors of super premium ice cream from local vendors in Madison and Milwaukee. There are also plenty of gluten free and dairy free options, including gluten free ice cream cones! They are located a few blocks from the Abbey resort and have a cute outdoor patio where you can relax and enjoy your ice cream.
Gordy’s Surf Shack
Gordy’s Surf Shack is open during the summer resort season (May-end of September) and offers grilled smash burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, cheese curds and more, all combined with old fashioned scooped ice cream, milk shakes and much more including beer, & seltzers! They are located RIGHT on the lake across the street from Gordy’s Boathouse restaurant. There is also a playground (Reid park) half a block away and a very small stretch of beach in front where my kids LOVE throwing rocks into the lake.
Yogeeze Frozen Yogurt
This self serve froyo shop is located in downtown Geneva and has 15 different rotating flavors with 75 topping options. Non Dairy sorbets, custard, gelato, and no sugar added varieties are available with several gluten free options! My kids LOVE making their own sundaes and LOAD on the toppings!
Kilwins Lake Geneva
Kilwins serves multiple flavors of fudge, ice cream and many other chocolate delights! Fair this Lake Geneva ice cream shop can get packed during peak summer season with a line near to the door due to it’s main street location. If it’s too busy head to Scoops or Yogeeze which are only a few blocks away.
