Geneva Shore Path
Features: The famous Geneva Shore Path is a 21 mile path that winds along the ENTIRE lakefront! This public path is one of the best ways to take in the beauty of the lake while getting some energy out of the kids. Adults will love getting an up close view of the manions along the lake. Note: not all parts of the path are paved so wear comfortable shoes and strollers would only work on small portions. Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy
- 251 Elkhorn Rd, Williams Bay, WI 53191
Features: If your family likes to enjoy nature this 231-acre nature preserve with a boardwalk, bird-viewing tower, pavilion, hiking trails, handicap accessible fishing on the southside, and Helen Rohner Children’s Fishing pond (complete with worm digging area and butterfly garden) is for you. In the summer there are fishing and nature classes and storytimes. Year round there is always something to do whether fishing, hiking, snow shoeing, or even cross country skiing. My two sons loved the smaller boardwalk hike and then we stopped for ice cream at Dip in the Bay afterwards (basically across the street from the main entrance). It is also very close to williams bay public beach and a playground on the lake.
Big Foot State Park
- 1550 S Lake Shore Dr, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
Features: The park has 6.5 miles of hiking trails through forest and open meadow. Most of the trails are relatively short and none are very strenuous. Choose from 7 routes ranging from .5 miles to 2.9 miles click here for all route info. After the park hit up one of the best restaurants with a lakeview, The Boat House Bar & Grill. Sit on the patio and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake with a cocktail (or kiddie cocktail) in hand.
Pedal & Cup
- 1722 WI-120, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
- (262) 249-1111
Features: My family loves this place! A former train depot has been turned into the cutest bike rental shop. It’s great for families because they also have the kids trailers available to rent and the shop is right on the bike path. The path itself is very flat so manageable for all ages. After your ride grab a smoothie or ice cream from the shop and sit outside to enjoy the post ride weather! Click here for my full family day trip itinerary!
