Features: This is my favorite restaurant on the lake and it TAKES RESERVATIONS! This upmarket american inspired restaurant is open year round, offers craft cocktails, free valet parking, indoor and outdoor seating, a gift shop and breathtaking lakeviews make it a local favorite. Another bonus is you can come by boat, dock in front of the restaurant, have lunch and then enjoy the rest of the day on the water. They also have fire pits, a heated outdoor area and the Geneva Lake Shore path is right in front of the restaurant. Their fish fry is tasty; i love the fact it comes with a large potato pancake and applesauce and there is always plenty to take home!

Features: This casual restaurant is a local favorite that has been honored with several awards including best casual bar, best chicken wings (my son agrees!), best pizza and best burger. The restaurant is located a five minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva and you will see everyone here from couples, families, larger groups and single people at the bar. In addition to being known for its delicious pizzas it has one of the most extensive gluten free menus around! They offer salads, pastas, pizza, pub burgers, flatbreads, appetizers and other options ALL gluten free. Their fish fry is available daily and includes hand breaded lake perched or Yuengling beer battered cod fillets paired with fries, homemade coleslaw, and pub tartar sauce.

Features: Located in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva you’ll love the American style menu and fish fry (offered daily with discount on Fridays). Fish fry features battered and deep-fried cod served with tartar sauce, house made coleslaw and your choice of side. I suggest also ordering their Manhattan cocktail. Located in the Cove hotel, the restaurant and bar is big enough that even on busy nights the wait is manageable. Insider tip: Across the street is a green space with a gazebo so even if you have a small wait take the kids outside to run around for a bit.

Features: While the space may be small the portions are large! In addition to having over 100 beers on tap this place has a huge variety of amazing burgers with tasty shoestring potatoes and is located in downtown Lake Geneva. My family always chooses this place or Chucks when we want a burger.

Features: The Gateway is newly renovated and located in the historic French Country Inn Hotel (which overlooks Lake Como, the smaller 2nd lake in Lake Geneva Wi). A short 10 minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva, during Prohibition, The Getaway was used as a speakeasy. Legend has it that was a prime destination for the likes of Al Capone, Bugs Moran and other disreputable players from Chicago. The basement was a secret spot where one could gather and find a drink. Now, you can stop by the fulling stocked bar and enjoy your favorite drink or cocktail. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have live music on Monday nights.
Their fish fry is served with choice of lightly breaded, fried or baked cod. It comes with a choice of soup or salad, choice of potato, risotto, or vegetable of the day.
Hawk's View Golf Club

Features: Hawk’s View Golf Club offers a Friday night fish fryrom 4-8:30pm and was voted favorite fish fry in Best of Geneva Lakes in 2022, and won second place in the 2021 Best of Walworth County for Fish Fry. They offer deep-fried, beer battered, or baked Icelandic Cod which is served with a choice of homemade potato pancakes with apple sauce, corn fritters with maple syrup, or French fries. All entrées include coleslaw, tartar sauce, and a lemon wedge. This is HIGHLY recommended by local residents and visitors alike!

Features: Mars Resort is located RIGHT on the shore of Lake Como (the 2nd smaller lake located in the town of Lake Geneva). This retro Wisconsin supper club has live piano music, an outdoor bar on the beach (complete with adirondack chairs) and offers short pontoon boat tours from their own dock. This place in the summer can’t be beat. Sitting on the beach with a cocktail in hand and listening to music outside is the best. Fair warning no reservations are accepted so the inside dining area fills up quickly. Their standard hamburgers and cheeseburgers never disappoint!
Popeye's on Lake Geneva

Features: Popeye’s is an institution! Open since the 70s they are known for their rotisserie based menu (free range chicken, ribs, lamb, and pulled pork) and large outdoor patio which is right across from the Rivera building and the public Riviera Beach. They do not take reservations so be prepared to wait if you come during the summer season but it is worth it!
Their fish fry is served all day Friday and includes cod that is broiled, hand breaded and golden fried, or a combination of the two. Served with seasoned fries, house made crispy potato pancake, creamy coleslaw, applesauce and hushpuppies this is a delicious option in downtown Lake Geneva.
