Nestled within the elegant confines of The Geneva Inn, The Grandview Restaurant & Lounge is my top pick for any special occasion. Set against the backdrop of Lake Geneva’s stunning shoreline, this fine dining establishment captures the essence of sophistication and charm. The ambiance is a refined blend of classic and contemporary, making it the ideal setting for a romantic evening or a celebratory gathering.
The panoramic views of the lake are only rivaled by the menu offered. The menu at The Grandview is a fusion of contemporary American cuisine with artistic flair. I highly recommend the signature Seared Scallops, but anything you order will be amazing. The perfectly grilled Filet Mignon, a true testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs, is my husband’s go to order!
Insider Tip: I would suggest you get there before your meal and take advantage of a drink on their beautiful outdoor patio. They also have live music every Thursday from 5-8pm and a daily Happy hour from 3-5pm (at the bar) with 25% off select wine, beer and cocktails.

The chef who opened the restaurant in 2008 has worked in many top locations, including the W Hotel in Chicago, and the feel and menu reflect this.
While the menu is seasonal, one of my favorite must try dishes are the lobster and goat cheese wontons followed by the Nola pasta- a tiger shrimp pasta in a Cajun cream sauce. Pair it with a glass of carefully selected wine, and you’re in for a culinary experience that you won’t soon forget!

Geneva Chophouse is nestled within the iconic Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. Step into a world of timeless elegance as you enter this upscale steakhouse that exudes a classic charm and refined ambiance.
The culinary journey at Geneva Chophouse is a celebration of prime cuts and unparalleled flavors. Sink your teeth into the perfectly grilled Ribeye, a masterpiece that exemplifies the art of steak perfection. They also have an abundance of amazing seafood options for those of us who are huge red meat eaters 🙂 We have celebrated many a birthday here and always leave with wonderful memories. The attentive service and extensive wine list further elevate the dining experience, making it a top choice for special occasions and romantic dinners.
1878 on the Lake
Imagine savoring delectable dishes while a gentle breeze rustles through the trees and the lake shimmers in the background. That’s 1878 on the Lake, a hidden gem within the historic Lake Lawn Resort. This place is like a postcard brought to life, offering an escape to gourmet paradise.
Whether you’re seated on the waterfront patio or indoors, every moment is a memory in the making. Start with a Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Salad that’s as colorful as a painter’s palette. And when it comes to the main course, the Grilled Sea Bass steals the spotlight with its melt-in-your-mouth goodness. You’ll be talking about this experience long after you’ve left.
They also have holiday buffets that I highly recommend. We spent the last mother’s day at their champagne brunch and I would absolutely do it again!
Opus at the Belfry
The Opus at the Belfry hotel in Williams Bay is a true show stopper! If you are looking for something out of the ordinary or very upmarket, this is the place to go. The restaurant only offers 5 or 7 course tasting menus which can be accompanied by wine pairings. The menu is constantly being updated but some past dishes have included a parmesan tart with a dashi macaron and mushroom puree or ravioli with slow braised pork belly.
The chef trained at multiple Michelin star restaurants and you can expect a one-of-a-kind tasting menu with culinary pairings that are creatively designed with influences from both France and Asia.
