Pier 290
- 1 Liechty Dr, Williams Bay, WI 53191
- (262) 245-2100
Features: While there are several amazing options in downtown Lake Geneva, these tend to be packed and don’t take reservations. Waiting an hour and a half is not an option with my kids, so the additional 10 minutes we have to drive is worth it. This upscale American restaurant is my favorite place to eat around Lake Geneva. The views are beautiful, the food and cocktails are amazing and the Geneva Lake shore path runs right in front of the restuarnt so you can take a walk after eating. There is also a small sand area so if kids are getting antsy one parent can take them down there while the other finishes up their food in some peace and quiet!
Gordy's Boat House
- 336 Lake St, Fontana-On-Geneva Lake, WI 53125
- (262) 275-6800
Features: One of my favorite spots in Fontana, you can sit in or outdoors and enjoy the view from both places. I prefer to sit inside at the front of the restaurant to keep bugs away and be close to the restrooms because, well, kids. My son swears by their wings- the appetizer portion is large enough for an entree, my little guy loves the burger from the kids menu, and I appreciate the gluten free menu options. Like many places around the lake they do not take reservations so we usually get there close to opening.
Bay Cooks
- 99 N Walworth Ave, Williams Bay, WI 53191
- (262) 607-6024
Features: Bay cooks is a new addition to the town of Williams Bay. This casual mexican american fusion eatery is a great place to bring young kids. The food was fast and delicious, and margaritas are always welcome! We went for breakfast and I can’t recommend the hueavos rancharos enough. Bonus- Dip in the Bay or Frosty Moose ice cream shops and a playground on the lake (Edgewater Park) are with in walking distance so you can get ice cream or hit up the park after you eat.
Lake City Social
- 111 Center St., Lake Geneva, WI 53147
- (262) 248-7047
Features: Located in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva we love the American style menu and fish fry they offer on Fridays. The full menu means all members of the family will find something they enjoy! My kids like the kids menu, my husband enjoys the Manhattans and I am thankful for the gluten free buns or crab encrusted sockeye salmon. The restaurant is big enough that even on busy nights the wait is managable. Insider tip: Across the street is a green space with a gazeebo so even if you have a small wait take the kids outside to run around for a bit.
Heart & Sol Cafe
- 264 Center Street, Lake Geneva, WI, 53147
- (262) 812-4035
Features: Heart & Sol Cafe has tasty juices, smootheis, bowls, salads and healthy sandwich options right in downtown Lake Geneva. We normally stop by for a smoothie before heading out to walk around all of the shops.
Olympic Family Restaurant
- 748 W Main St, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
